Volvo Assistance, developed in association with the RAC, provides 24 hour protection anywhere in the UK and Europe. From a flat tyre to a traffic accident, simply call the freephone number and the RAC will do all they can to help you quickly, with minimal disruption to your travel plans.

Warranty

Every new Volvo comes with comprehensive protection. Our warranty covers the first three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

There’s a three year unlimited mileage warranty on the paintwork and a full twelve years against rust perforation. If a component fails due to a defect or material fault your local Volvo dealer will swiftly rectify the problem free of charge.

Safety

Dynamic Stability and Traction Control (DSTC)
DSTC makes driving on twisty roads and in slippery conditions safer, by using sensors to detect whether any of the wheels is showing sign of losing traction. DSTC has the ability to cut power in an instant, helping the Volvo to regain its grip.

Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)

EBD ensures that the braking forces of car are distributed between the front and rear brakes in order to optimise braking efficiency.

Whiplash Injury Protection System (WHIPS)

WHIPS help reduce the risk of long term whiplash injuries by over 50%. Integrated in the front seat and activated if your Volvo is driven into with sufficient force from behind WHIPS cradles the spine and neck in a controlled manner.

Side Impact Protection System (SIPS)

In a side impact, Volvo’s unique side impact protection system is designed to displace the impact away from the cabin to other parts of the car body. The sides of the car are reinforced to better help withstand the impact of collision with a larger vehicle such as an SUV. Furthermore, at outboard positions, inflatable curtains interact with the front seat side airbags to help protect passengers. The rear doors features energy-absorbing blocks to help displace incoming collisions forces.
